This chapbook is the fourth SWARM! collection from the Hives of Fall 2021 - Summer 2022. During a full year, from the fall of 2021 to the summer of 2022, The Telling Room worked with the five most recent Hives (#18-22) of the SWARM! program. Thirty-nine young writers joined us online from twenty two different towns across Maine and as far away as Passadumkeag, Trenton, and Kittery. These five Hives focused on mixed genres in the fall, poetry in spring, and flash pieces in summer. Students imagined new worlds, turned poems inside out, explored storytelling in miniature, and stepped confidently into their voices. The things they care about truly shine through their writing: climate change and the natural world, navigating all kinds of relationships, adjusting to life in new places, and, of course, having fun. This, by the way, is an extra special book—The Telling Room’s 200th title!
