Stories of the Sea: This spring, The Telling Room will offer a four-part workshop for young writers in the Midcoast.

At Maine Maritime Museum, we’ll spend time exploring the exhibits, and then use art and artifacts from Maine’s rich maritime culture to inspire our writing. From ship models to teacups, sea monsters to scrimshaw, participants will start by paying close attention, then let their imaginations run wild!

Led by Education Manager Marjolaine Whittlesey, this workshop is open to any young person aged 9 - 14 seeking inspiration and a creative outlet.

We strive to make our programs available to all students. While the true cost of this program is $120, we offer the option to pay what you can.
