In Memoriam - Rob Gould

The recent passing of Rob Gould is a great loss for our Telling Room community. Rob joined The Telling Room board in June of 2019 after serving on the Show & Tell Committee earlier that year. Serving on the Marketing & Development, Governance, Human Resources, and Strategic Planning Steering committees, he most recently served as the Vice President of the Board.

Rob brought his communications and public relations acumen to each of his roles at The Telling Room and was such a strong advocate and ambassador of our mission, youth, and their voices. As a critical thinker, Rob encouraged perspective-taking and thinking outside of the box in the best ways. He truly embodied The Telling Room’s values of approaching narratives and voice from a holistic point of view. Rob was a storyteller, with a knack for noticing the meaningful, human moments of our work at The Telling Room and authentically, beautifully, and unabashedly sharing those stories far and wide.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends in all of his many circles. We will deeply miss his laughter and candor, his support and love, and the way he saw the world—lifting up those around him as he walked through it.
