The May Panel of Momentum: A Maine Racial & Social Equity Series

As part of Momentum: A Maine Racial & Social Equity Series, the Portland Chamber of Commerce, Greater Portland Council of Governments, United Way of Greater Portland, the Portland Public Library, and the Maine Historical Society welcome recent graduates of The Telling Room's writing programs to share their perspectives on storytelling, social change, and racial equity.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Why writing and storytelling are essential tools in the quest for racial equity

• What the role of youth activism is in social justice movements

• How we can raise our individual and collective voices in the face of injustice

A brief Q&A will follow the discussion. This webinar will be recorded and a replay made available.
