After 13 years in public schools, Amy Kimball’s creative spirit needed a lift. Now she clears her calendar for Telling Room events, because as any sane person will tell you, you should spend your life doing what you love. Amy loves encouraging young writers as they find and develop their voices, then get their words on paper. Helping kids see how liberating it feels to say what they really mean, and find powerful words to express themselves is a great way to spend several hours of any given day. When not at the Telling Room, Amy writes on her own, works with kids, and lives on the side of a lake with the love of her life, Ed.
