Students are always excited for WordPLAY, where we open our space to all comers between 1:30 and 4:30pm every Wednesday through the school year. It's free writing time in a free writing space. Come and bring a willingness to write, or else watch out - we'll inspire you even if your mom made you come! Students who come to the Telling Room may find their muse, often a professional writer-turned-coach who plunks down beside them in a beanbag chair and encourages their work, whether for school or for fun. Some kids write with serious purpose, some for fun; all leave as storytellers.
So come on down to 225 Commercial Street during Writing Center Hours! Students ages 8 to 18 are welcome Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
